Wild Ausable Lodge is a family lodge tucked deep in the Adirondack Park, in a corner that never got crowded. We built it as a place to slow down. Long dinners, board games by the fire, and quiet trails right out the back door.

Most of the Adirondacks got crowded. This corner didn't. Clark Mountain starts at the end of our driveway, so you can hike in and hike out the way you'd ski in and ski out. Other trails, and the loop around Lake Eaton, are a few minutes down the road. We're surrounded by old hunting land, so you can go for miles without seeing a house. Even on the busiest summer and fall weekends, it stays quiet.
But quiet doesn't mean roughing it. The lodge sits inside Ausable Acres, our private community, and as our guest you get the run of it. In winter the community trails are yours for cross country skiing, Clark is a snowshoe, and Whiteface is a short drive for downhill. And when nobody feels like cooking, there's world-class dining a few minutes down the road, and a couple of simple takeout pizza places when that's all you want. Wilderness when you want it, comforts when you don't.
